LA-based alternative rock band, Bizou, emerge with a strong sound and an experienced lineup, and they are about to unveil their new EP, stilllifeburning, expected out on April 10th, 2020.
The band is fronted by Marisa Prietto (Wax Idols, Glaare), and includes multi-instrumentalist/producer Josiah Mazzaschi (Light FM), guitarist Nicki Nevlin (Light FM), as well as Nicole Fiorentino (of the Cold and Lovely, and former bassist for Smashing Pumpkins and Veruca Salt, and more).
As the band's sound draws from guitar-laden indie rock, darkwave, post punk and shoegaze, their new material seems to be taking a turn toward a moodier direction, while first single, Crashing Sky, is a mighty good example of how deep gazey synthpop can cut through when done and executed right.
"If you could dive into into the subconscious of another person totally separate from you, as if through a trapdoor — that to me would describe the feeling of these songs," says singer Marisa Prietto, describing the forthcoming EP.
The song comes with a clip composed of colorful, saturated visuals directed by the band.
