With a dark sound that fuses the coldness of post punk with the impressibility of new wave and contemporary synthpop, while also hinting on industrial and darkwave, Dead Feeling from Gainesville, Florida emerge with the release of their new EP, nu.wav.
Opening number, New Legend Drugs, audibly and aesthetically echoes the early albums of The Soft Moon, with its dazzling repetitiveness and the grit of its demo-like production standing out as the high points of something really promising in the making. The new EP is composed of three more dark-tinged tracks, all loaded with grit, lowness and post punk nerve. Closing cut, Soft Chaos, comes with a DIY black and white visual which showcases the colder and bleaker aspect of Buffalo, NY.
Dead Feeling are Hector, Jasmine and James. nu.wav follows last year's demonstration EP, and it's out through the underground label, Ashtray Monument, digitally and on a very limited run on clear vinyl seven-inch.
