The second offering off Pet Peeves, the anticipated debut EP by German garage punk band, Drens, is a dense three-minute surf rock track which comes along the lines of both the traditional surf pop grace of The Beach Boys and the soulful and psychedelic bent sound of more contemporary acts like Thee Oh Sees or Allah-Las.
"A song about being overtaken, left behind and being a loaner," the Dortmund quartet describe new piece, Saditsfiction. Their new single follows the punk rock frankness of the recently released, A Very Sunny Day.
Pet Peeves comes out May 15th, 2020, and it will be the first time we'd get to experience Drens' fuzzy sound and lo-fi ethos in longer format, after the strain of notable singles which have rightfully earned them considerable acclaim and positive responses thus far.
