After their terrific second album, Stay, from last year, post punk act It's For Us return with a new EP titled Malax as a reference to the small western Finnish town where the band secluded themselves to record their new material.
The immediate post punk rawness and conciseness of new track, You Are The One, finds It's For Us at a completely noisy and ferocious form, channeling the early Siouxsie and The Banshees, while dealing with a timelessly sensitive and serious subject.
"You Are The One is about the struggle with depression and low self esteem," the band state. "And coming to terms with the fact that you are good enough. A love song of sorts to oneself and life."
Malax releases April 24th, 2020 through Novoton.
