Hailing from Toronto,
Canada, heavy psychedelic rock duo, Lammping, will be releasing their
intriguingly titled debut album, Bad Boys Of Comedy, in July 2020
through the Berlin-based label, Nasoni Records, home to genre
classics from bands like Los Natas, Vibravoid, Sula Bassana, Colour
Haze and dozens more.
The very rich and
sweet-toned, Forest for the Trees, becomes the terrific first example
off the coming LP, abound with seventies hard rock and Americana
qualities, and dipped into psychedelic and stoner rocking heaviness,
as the song seems to be drawing from both the consonance and
accessibility of CSNY, and the fortitude of Iron Butterfly and Blue
Cheer.
Multi-instrumentalist
Mikhail Galkin and drummer Jay Anderson who comprise Lammping also
indicate influences from more diverse and unexpected sources such as
Tropicalia and Turkish psych, resulting to something very much
wide-ranging and absorbing.
