From the second volume of the very committed seven-album project, BIG GREY SUN, Death Hags' Insomnia is a slow paced, lulling and almost hypnagogic synthpop track which deals with the unfading concept that its exact title directly puts forward. For its visual accompaniment, which streams for the first time right below, the strong inspiration comes from some of the finest luminaries in German and European filmmaking, and the result is an entrancing clip that rounds off the music's mood.
"I wrote/recorded the track in hotel rooms during nights of insomnia on tour and shot the footage in East Berlin -- an homage to Fassbinder, Wim Wenders and one of my favorite cities in Europe," describes Lola G., the sole creative mind behind the Death Hags moniker.
The first two volumes of BIG GREY SUN are out now, with the rest expected to come out steadily through the rest of 2020 and 2021.
