With a highpowered mixture which meshes elements from punk, stoner rock and psychedelic rock, Los Angeles quartet, Dei Lucrii, are gearing up for the release of their upcoming EP, Devil's Thumb, scheduled to arrive on May 29th, 2020, while the band also plan a full US and Mexico tour to support it after the pandemic.
The new release follows Dei Lucrii's debut EP from 2018, and it's introduced with the opening title track which sees the band in super fuzzy, high energy rock 'n' roll complexion, headlong dipped into reverberating psychedelia, and having the aspects of a very much forceful piece. Noisy and rapid, Devil's Thumb conveys a fair amount of heaviness and backbone, mostly through the openness which stems from the band's performance, as the song's warm layers of desert rock vitality come forth all punchy and groovy.
