Coinciding with the the 75th anniversary of VE-day, I Can Barely See, not only stands as a great new song from the rising garage surf rockers, Drens, but it also remains true to the band's ethics and their quest against fascism and extreme right wing beliefs.
"We‘re seeing life as a gift, so let’s handle human rights and peace as something beautiful," Drens state. "We’re not best with words, we’re still learning. We had and have strong feelings to make some noise if there’s a shift, if people are treating other people bad, if someone is calling the end of war a bad thing. This song is our promise to ourselves to stay on the good side."
The new single comes with an extremely fun video of video game style visuals created by Patrick Nowak and Tim Kreutzkamp, in which Drens fight the evil Nazis and other fascists with the power of rock 'n' roll.
The band urge their fans to support Kein Bock Auf Nazis, the non-profit campaign group who works with young people and educates against right wing politics.
