The great Steve Von Till will be releasing his first album under his own name since 2015's A Life Unto Itself. The acclaimed musician who has helped the underground and post metal scenes take shape through his work with Neurosis, Tribes Of Neurot and Harvestman will release No Wilderness Deep Enough through Neurot Recordings on August 7th, 2020.
Coinciding with the album's release, Von Till's first book, Harvestman: 23 Untitled Poems and Collected Lyrics, including original poetry, will be out on the same date.
"It's about personal longings and loss, and the loves and insecurities we all feel combined with meditations on humanity as a whole," the artist states in relation to the album's intent, and his creative approach through the Harvestman moniker. "I'm exploring the great disconnect: from the natural world, from each other, and ultimately from ourselves—trying to find meaning and depth in re-establishing those connections, to find a resonance in purpose and acknowledging the past while looking towards the future and still being in the moment."
Dreams of Trees is the coming album's somber opening track, a gothic folk/Americana piece grounded in a stark and minimal style of instrumentation, and Von Till's naturally brooding vocal delivery which moves mountains in all its gravity.
