Consistent with their so far solid series of early releases, Lincolnshire, UK's Corasandel sign to Portland-based label, Shelflife Records (Pinkshinyultrablast, The Radio Dept., Airiel) and release a new single which this time adds a welcome layer of extra mood and ambiance to the band's already airy shoegaze and dreampop sound.
"Cracked Light is about hoping that the people we care about are safe, no matter where they are in the world," the band describe, true to their previously expressed drift toward kindness. "The people that we all care about should mean everyone."
Since last year's All The Hours Are One EP Corasandel have evolved from a duo into a fully fledged band with Holly Hall (bass) and Chris Lody (keys) joining the founding members, Mark Merrifield (guitar, vocals) and Jimmy Osborne (guitar), and their progression manifests in their songwriting, and extends to the assertiveness of their performance.
