GR^VE return with a new single and accompanying short film, the third in a so far very impressive row of early tracks which shows the enigmatic duo consistency in coming forth with dark sounds that reflect the gloom of the times in which we live, together with their good eye for strong visuals and all around tasteful aesthetics.
Distraction From Decay once more finds Carbon and Seraph combining elements from shoegaze, sludge, post punk and electronica to originate in something that feels utterly atmospheric and cinematic, especially on the Film Mix version of the song. Soft female vocals contradict the severity of the strong instrumentals in the same way the song's overall euphony deviates from the dark truth of its concept.
Distraction From Decay follows previous singles, Resign Your Fate and Safe.
