Hailing from Manchester rock city, Blanketman continue on from the acclaim they received through their debut single, Taking You With Me, and the hype is still being built, with the reasons for it seeming quite justifiable.
The band's new single, Beach Body, was produced by Luke Smith (Foals, Depeche Mode, Petite Noir), and it's another exhibition of the quintet's songwriting wit, combining angular post punk with more accessible, clear-cut indie pop. The track comes with a fun visual created by Hannah Cobb. which enlightens on how a green screen can be used, and blends well with the song's quirks.
“After a troubled lost summer, we felt we needed a new advert for British exceptionalism and the Brit abroad,” says vocalist and guitarist, Adam Hopper.
