Calcified Youth is the second example of the forthcoming concept album, DSM-5, by industrial metal/hardcore project, Blood From The Soul, led by Napalm Death's Shane Embury, and featuring a team of extraordinary, experienced musicians from bands like Megadeth, Converge and Nasum.
The new track is another piece of the sci-fi concept which the album narrates, exploring the connection between humans and sentient machines, and finds the band in an extremely heavy mode as expected, still, groovier and more memorable than ever.
Calcified Youth comes alongside a very well made video, aligning with the album's theme, created by Chariot of Black Moth.
DSM-5 arrives November 13th, 2020 via Deathwish Inc.
