Fresh dreampop act, Choux, emerge with the very much atmospheric dreampop exemplar, Super Moon, which may be the project's debut piece, yet, the band's members are no strangers to the world of alternative music.
Choux are vocalist Lizzie Carolan and multi-instrumentalist Jordan Gatesmith, two musicians who used to helm the pop project Total Babe, while Gatesmith went on to form the indie punk band Howler which recently resurfaced after a long break.
The duo's shimmering and ethereal first single, Super Moon, nods to the airy dreampop sound of Cocteau Twins, with the elegant vocals gleaming next to the hazy guitars and the synths which lead the track's apt instrumentation, while Ian Nygaard (Howler) and Phillip Shaw Bova (Bahamas, Andy Shauf, Land of Talk, Devendra Banhart) are responsible for the strong quality of the song's mixing and mastering respectively.
The song comes with an early nineties-like clip of highly saturated visuals directed by Jesse Pedersen.
