Continuing with their fine streak of engaging offerings this year which include three more EPs, Vancouver shoegazers Did You Die reveal new two-song release, Seal My Fate, which presents both their ability to readapt older songs to their own sound and standards, and their expertise at original songwriting, courtesy of the band's main composer, Richie Felix Alexander.
Not An Addict was a 1996 hit for the Belgian alternative rock band, K's Choice, which Did You Die translated into a super hazy shoegaze piece, in the same manner they treated the song's included in their earliest 2020 release, the covers EP, Postcards From Paradise.
Similarly, Fate Always finds the band exploring the quirkier garage pop sound for which they've shown keenness before, especially on their previous single, We Can Do Whatever.
The band promises more to come, since there's a 4-song release expected in December 2020, while their full length, Thirteen Moons, will arrive in 2021. Next year Did You Die also have scheduled appearances at SXSW, CMW and Seattle's shoegaze festival, Seagaze.
