Efrim Manuel Menuck, a groundbreaking creative force behind Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Thee Silver Mt. Zion, releases a 16-minute epic under his own name, and as part of Constellation's Corona Borealis longplay singles series.
Quite hard to pinpoint, the new composition surely falls under the most experimental aspect of post rock, mingled with elements from underground folk and punk. The song's rhetoric and profound lyricism for which the artist has been rightfully praised in the past, definitely become the central point once again, while Menuck's overall forward-thinking mindset has never stopped being evident.
Corona Borealis is Constellation's first ever digital series, including 16 artists with new longplaying singles and accompanying experimental videos. The series is commissioned as part of the label's "pandemic/post-capitalist response for label-affiliated musicians under current conditions." Efrim Manuel Menuck's track is the second in the series, following Markus Floats' Karl Marx. Capital Volume 1. Chapter 33: The Modern Theory Of Colonisation [Abridged].
The tracks will be exclusive to Bandcamp and PWYC for the week of release, along with sale pricing on artist’s related Constellation digital discography, and 100% of the revenue will go to the artist.
