Consistently rising Hungarian synthwave producer, Lazerpunk, has made the most out of the beautiful and empty due to the pandemic streets of Budapest, and releases his first ever music video for Covenant, the title track and opening piece off his latest EP. The vivid and well constructed visual depicts a high speed car chase filmed during quarantine, and comes across with an uncanny feel, representing well the music's energy.
Notably, the artist donated the full income of the album to the Child Heart Foundation (Gyermekszív Alapítvány) to help fund life-saving medical devices, and provide local surgeons with special surgical loupes (magnifying glasses) for which they had been waiting for over ten years, and which allow them to do much more precise work performing surgeries.
Lazerpunk has shared stages with some of the genre's finest (Perturbator, Carpenter Brut, Danger) and collaborated with acts like Scandroid, Aesthetic Perfection, Daniel Deluxe, Tokyo Rose, Max Brhon and Quixotic. Covenant is out since June 2020, followed by a deluxe version with additional remixes by Robert Parker, Carbon Killer and more.
