One of hardcore punk's cornerstones, Orange County band, Adolescents, kicked off their career and initiated a whole movement which shaped up to be Californian hardcore with their original recording of punk standard, Amoeba, for Posh Boy Records in 1980, a year earlier than their signing to Frontier and the re-recording of the song for their debut full length.
Posh Boy, the label which has been an important chapter of US punk from the late seventies on, now maintains a strong presence in the digital world. With most of its catalog having been remastered by Geza X, all of the Classic Posh Boy material, from Agent Orange's groundbreaking debut to the slew of compilations, the label's name is synonymous to early California hardcore.
