The ninth anniversary of the untimely passing of Jennifer Miro from the San Francisco punks, The Nuns, approaches. Miro passed alone in New York City from cancer on December 16th, 2011, yet, her band which featured in each ranks Jeff Olener and Alejandro Escovedo among other member in its almost thirty year-old existence, left behind a legacy which will certainly live on.
The Nuns' music will be prominently featured in a currently in development short film commissioned by the Hertziana library in Rome on the works of Italian avant garde painter, Pablo Echaurren. With the artist himself being a big fan of The Nuns, the film is expected to be displayed soon in the museum and library.
