There isn't much info about the enigmatic shoegaze/dreampop act, a Lesser Version, as of now, except for their Liverpool, UK descent, the announcement of their debut album, Excess, which is expected to come soon, and a wonderful first single which is solely capable of turning heads their way.
Plainly described by the band as "a song about a person called Sylvia," the introduction to a Lesser Version's sound is mighty splendid, and indicative of their expertise at coming up with sharp shoegaze indie rock which feels very close to the style's essentials, but no way like a lesser version of it. Antithetically, the the song comes across as a rather enticing and refreshing take on shoegaze, and this seemingly obscure new act appears able to convince right off the bat.
