Jacksonville, Florida-based act, Tuff Turf, also of the punk rap project, JE Double F, and the hardcore band, Cut It Out!, describes his music accurately as 'nihilist new wave'. Tuff Turf's coming full length, Brand New Ways to Be Cruel, arrives on April 12th, 2021, and album opener, Nothing but Trouble, gets the video treatment, with a beautiful clip of VHS aesthetics, featuring neon signs of bars and well put together DIY scenes and visuals.
Tuff Turf brings together gothic pop, new wave, synthpop and post punk under a spotless production and a notably ardent delivery, while on the lyrical front this fine act seems to be consistently coming up with a good bit of mental nourishment.
