Having put together an abundant early body of work since 2019, COOL HEAT, the lo-fi dreampop project by Eden Sierotnik, releases new EP, Levitate, their first for Spirit Goth Records. Sierotnik was a member of Color Card, a dreampop quartet from Chicago which split up a while ago.
COOL HEAT joins together a nice blend of gentle dreampop and synthpop sounds, often verging on post rock territories by way of a very good ear for ethereal, expansive soundscapes, and skillful use of sharp instrumentation. Levitate is composed of four balmy tracks which give out an encompassing variegated sense of restfulness and nonchalance.
