For their new single, Drink, riot grrrl punks, Destroy Boys, work with acclaimed producer Will Yip, and deliver another straightforward punk rocker with earthy lyrics. This time the band surfaces even more accessibly melodious, although the song's concept comes with grave solemnity.
"Drink touches on alcoholism that runs through the family, and how the patterns one sees growing up replicate themselves," the band state. "It’s a conscious decision to break those patterns, and this song reflects the pain and desperation of breaking those patterns."
Drink follows the Destroy Boys' previous single, Muzzle, from earlier in 2021, and it's out now through Hopeless Records, Inc.
