Norwegian veterans, Permafrost, returned earlier this year with new single, Femme Fatale, which they now follow with new track, Closed Eyes, another driving track in the vein of eighties new wave-inclined post punk, and bands like The Sound and The Chameleons.
“Closed Eyes, mixed by indie-veteran Paul Corkett,” the band detail and describe, “drives on with a relentless surge, full of foreboding, alluding to a dystopian near-future while at the same time offering the listener hope.”
Like the band's previous offerings, Closed Eyes appears dreary and at the same time it offers a lot of approachability and a clean, fresh sound, finding Permafrost completely enlivened and inspirited. The new track is paired to a nice video composed of moody scenes and landscapes, edited by Mimi Supernova.
The band will be coming up with more releases on their own Fear of Music label in the near future.
