Texas instrumental post rockers, Driving Slow Motion, unveil new track, Leaves, the first piece off their impending full length, Adrift:Abyss. The new album is expected out through Post. Recordings later in 2021.
"The song was written about swirling leaves outside of the catacombs of St. Pauls Cathedral, where people were leaving a place of deep memory and thought," the band reveal.
Leaves follows the motifs of a classic post rock cut, building its way through atmospheric soundscapes and refined instrumentals into something songful, venturous and all around comforting, until it erupts, and brings its sentimentality to a cleansing climax. Without diverging from the expectable and the genre's patterns, Driving Slow Motion create a thrilling new piece of music which doesn't need to get beyond the six-minute mark to sound grand.
