Dark duo Gr^ve return with their first single and video in a year. In Fire is as moody and full of atmosphere as the band's earlier material, only this time around the focus seems to be toward heavier rock and shoegaze sounds which appear incredibly well implemented into Gr^ve's trip hop and electronica base. It's all nineties alternative galore, and it sounds spotless.
Gr^ve comment on In Fire: "This song came out of the doubts we are fed from childhood from society and those more painful coming from within. Finding strength and pushing through that anxiety is the ultimate meaning. In fire we breathe."
The eye-catching video paired to the song carries plentiful horror film aesthetics which correspond to the music's tone.
