Berlin's Plattenbau revealed Hollywood, the first single off their forthcoming album on new label home, Dedstrange, last month, and that has been exciting, genre-challenging listen. The enthusiasm continues as the same song is now unveiled in a considerably different version remixed by A Place to Bury Strangers.
APTBS come up with a version of the song which carries their signature; the intense grittiness and the hazy, psychedelic aspect of their art, while Plattenbau's originality is obviously present, and an integral part of what makes the song so electrifying.
Accordingly dark and moody visuals come from director and editor Lewis Lloyd.
Plattenbau's new album, Shape / Shifting, releases on September 29th, 2021.
