Hostages is the fourth full length by visual artist and multi-instrumentalist, Jay Thurley, under his Teethgrynder moniker. The album will be out on October 29th, 2021 via Isolation Records, and the first single and video, Casey Rowe’s Ghost, have just surfaced.
The new song is a bluesy noise rocker with a slant for sludge and post metal weightiness, presented with a lot of finesse and grit. The incredible accompanying visual was directed and edited by Supply + Demand, featuring dancer Abbey Adams.
A guest-heavy album, Hostages features an impressive list of contributors such as Jaye Jayle's Evan Patterson, Daughters' Alexis Marshall, Bossk guitarist Robert Vaughan, visual artist Richey Beckett, Filth Is Eternal vocalist Lisa Mungo, Fall of Efrafa's Neil Kingsbury and David Yow of The Jesus Lizard.
