Denmark's Code Elektro has been one of the main act which have managed to successfully combine synthwave current approach with traditional overtones. This fusion found immaculate enactment in the recent live album, Live at Radar Station, and it carries on through the project's new track, Beneath a Scarlet Sky.
With an unnerving, yet uplifting character, the new single cites inspiration from Tangerine Dream and John Carpenter, and it has the air of a retro electro rocker which could have easily been part of a stately giallo or horror movie score from the late seventies. Code Elektro's analog synths and mastering are once again completely harnessed to give vent to another fine piece of unsurpassed synthwave.
