Coming from Atlanta, Georgia, Radium Jaw emerge with Faded Out, a fine debut EP, and an archetypal shoegaze sound, showcasing an interesting dichotomy between softness and grit. Although the band's music is self described as 'soft rock', Radium Jaw seem to be one of the newest, most expressive purveyors of classic-oriented shoegaze pop.
Withdrawal is one of the EP's highlights, yet, there's more to discover in the rest of the five tracks which compose a full and very promising release. Airiness and distortion come together seamlessly with the vocals and the sharp guitars excelling the most, as the band is leaving a solid impression with their first appearance.
