San Francisco shoegazers Young Prisms return with their first new music in a decade, and sign to Fire Talk Records. Yourside is akin to the classic, fuzzy shoegaze sound for which the band has stood out with their earlier offerings.
The notably melancholic Yourside was recorded in the group's home town of San Francisco, and it was produced by Shaun Durkan (Weekend, Soft Kill), and mastered by Heba Kadry. After a lengthy hiatus, Young Prisms' return is marked by a more mature approach to their songwriting, the kind which comes naturally with age and life experience.
The band describe their impressive comeback: "Yourside is written through the perspective of someone comforting a grieving soul who has experienced a devastating loss and letting them know that they're supported."
