Denmark's currently most celebrated post punk act, Iceage, visit the Tapetown Studio in Lydhavnen, Aarhus, and deliver a seven-song set. All seven tracks come from the band's last two albums, 2018's Beyondless and 2021's Seek Shelter.
In a little over thirty minutes, Iceage bring notably raw and unpolished renditions of some of their best latest songs, validating their sway as a live act, as well as their reputation for being on of the leading underground post punk act in the world at the moment.
Opener, Catch It, sets the tone in a rough, yet, moody manner, and from then on the energy remains relentless for the entirety of the session, with the band echoing something organic and unconditioned which levels between The Stooges and Joy Division.
It is almost impossible to pick one favorite Tapetown session from the great variety that the studio has offered thus far, but at heart, this one may be it.
