French extreme metal band, Celeste, celebrate the release of their new album, Assassine(s), which strikes as a model of heaviness, refinement and sophistication, carrying its audience through conceptions of sorrow and hopelessness. Chris Edrich, well known for his work with Gojira, Tesseract, and The Ocean, produced the new record, which is available through Nuclear Blast.
Elle Se Répète Froidement, the band's latest single, is another intense, superb cut which comes with a visually strong video with plain shots of the band performing in flaming red scenes created by Xavier and Hervé Métral.
Once more, Celeste's brand of doom, sludge, black metal and post metal comes through immensely engrossing.
