From Jackson, Mississippi, heavy shoegazers, Kicking, have just released their new EP, Goodbye Party, through Harness Records (UK) and Candlepin Records (US), mixed and mastered by Torche guitarist, Jonathan Nunez.
Kicking create an intense, atmospheric, and immensely expressive form of shoegaze, including elements of doom, sludge, and grunge, resulting in a sound that is far weightier than the genre's average.
The new EP's lead track Hate//Sex (nice word presentation there), radiates with deep emotionalism, and finds the band delivering a heartfelt and skillful execution over the production's imposing wall of sound.
