Two years after the release of their debut EP, Love and Dancing which was mixed by Ride’s Mark Gardener, Toronto dreampop duo Soft Set prepare for the release of their new album, Still Life, this time mixed by Shae Brossard (Arcade Fire, Godspeed You! Black Emperor) and mastered by Slowdive’s Simon Scott.
An incredibly harmonious endeavor, first single, More More More, is direct dreampop excellence, and it involves Mark Crozer from The Jesus and Mary Chain who plays bass on the track.
"More More More is about loneliness and how people generally cope and sometimes never find happiness," vocalist Nathan Athay unfolds. "Most of the time, life doesn’t have Hollywood endings and you should cherish what you have and not waste precious time looking for things you don’t.”
