My Raining Stars is the solo project of musician Thierry Haliniak which goes back as far as 1998. Thierry was in the band called Nothing To Be Done (possibly a reference at The Pastels) and shared stages with great acts such as The Boo Radleys, Adorable and Moose.
After some demos, a debut album released in 2008 and an EP which came out in 2020, Thierry is gearing up for the release of the second My Raining Stars album, 89 Memories, created with the help of Danish multi-instrumentalist, Casper Blond (Ethics).
The sound of My Raining Stars draws from the shoegaze pop vanguard, mentioning inspiration from the c86 era and bands from Creation and Sarah Records. First single, If You, is a jangly and melodic venture which definitely accomplishes its objective of uniting those inspirations in a tidy package.
89 Memories will be released on June 17th, 2022 by Shelflife (US) and Disco De Kirlian (Spain).
