Fresh band, Parallel, from Oakland, California, borrow from the post punk and alternative psychedelic frontlines to produce dreampop which is rich and minimalist at the same time, citing influence from the 4AD catalog, Slowdive, and The Chameleons among others.
In April 2022, the band released their debut self-titled mini album on Cherub Dream Records, and off it Drench is an atmospheric number which highlights the emerging band's moodiness through a strong musical direction through an overall hazy and alluring sum.
Members of Parallel are also active in a number of other projects, including Ragana, Nothing Natural, Entrapment, and Lizard Bitch, and have also played with Negative Standards, Romantic Feelings, and nasty.dilemma.
