Another wonderful illustration of the band's highly exquisite and graceful heavy shoegaze sensibility, Ultramar is a highlight piece and the closing number to the self-titled seven-song EP by Spanish shoegazers, Salvana.
A rather evocative track that approaches the bounds of atmospheric, guitar-driven post rock, Ultramar leans more on the grandiose end of the band's compositional prowess, reflecting the grit of nineties grunge and the atmospherics of bands like Explosions In The Sky and Nothing.
Salvana, which has set the bar very high for the Barcelonan quartet, follows a string of singles, and it's out through Magic In The Air Records.
