Flaw Lust is a San Diego, California-based band founded by longtime collaborators Michael Buehl and Cara Potiker. The duo developed their musical style by pulling from their diverse inspirations, which range from early eighties electronica to funk and progressive rock.
Misplaced, a five-minute venture from their album Seek / Hunt, is evocative of the duo's jazzier proclivity, although still founded on a new wave and avantgardistic pop underpinning, all delivered via a pretty detailed production and rich instrumentals.
"A Roxy Music and The Smiths inspired trek through a queer woman's lens," Flaw Lust say describing the song.
