Darkwave/synthpop quartet, Magnetic Skies unveil their new single, Fading Lights, out through the indie label ReprinT Records. The vibrant new song combines eminently melodious vocals contrasted with ethereal synth backing, bringing to mind new wave's vanguard, particularly from the eighties.
A pulsating number, put together and executed to perfection, Fading Lights comes representative of the band's approachable songwriting side and meticulous production quality, rooted firmly in both darkwave and synthpop, always with a dark predilection.
Magnetic Skies were formed in 2018, and as a duo by Simon Kent (vocals, keyboards) and Jo Womar (keyboards), and evolved into their current, fully fledged form in 2021 with the addition of guitarist Carlos Aguilar from Mexico, and drummer Lenin Alegria from Chile. The band have shared stages with ACTORS and Heaven 17, and have headlined shows, with more live dates anticipated in the near future.
