Dreampop project Sigh Down One have recently released their new album Desire, or a Common Place, the follow up to Memory is Short Longing out through L'Oeil du Tigre in 2016.
Durocher is the centerpiece of the new album, demonstrating the project's superb combination of beautiful pop compositions with electronic methods of production, while also preserving elements of the introspective grunge of past Sigh Down One efforts.
Desire, or a Common Place is fueled by a love of nineties electronica and shoegaze, citing Seefeel and Bowery Electric as influences, as well as Cocteau Twins' trademark dreampop and U2's Boy-era.
Sasha J. Langford (Cascadia, Blankets), previously based in Montreal and currently residing in Vancouver, BC, is the creative force behind Sigh Down One.
