Oakland, California-based outfit, Welcome Strawberry, will be releasing their first, self-titled album on September 2nd, 2022 through Cherub Dream Records, and the first single, No One Online, showcases the band's clear heavy shoegaze direction and all around dynamic sound.
The song, which is reminiscent of My Bloody Valentine right off the bat, has an extra raucous edge, carries psychedelic aspects, and comes across quite impressive. Contextually, it's about being current times' pace, and being bombarded with too much at once.
Welcome Strawberry write: "Maybe songs grow like flowers. You water them or let them wilt. Eventually you will have enough to pick and make a bouquet, ugly and thorny or not."
