Eaten by Wolves is the first single from the upcoming album, Bloom Decay, by Portland-based post punk band Darkswoon. The album is set to be released on September 14th, 2022 on Icy Cold Records.
Eaten By Wolves is a reflection on how the bodies of individuals who are not cis males are politicized and dominated. The song was written at a time when a particular Supreme Court judge was being confirmed, and it's a creative representation of the feelings triggered by anticipating the dissolution of human rights, hence it appears totally relatable in today's political and social climate.
Darkswoon's electronic shoegaze style appears more vibrant than ever, and it blends flawlessly with the band's post punk roots and gloomy overtones. Superbly produced and, altogether, extremely evocative, Eaten by Wolves is a solid introduction to an anticipated full-length which beyond doubt won't disappoint.
