Face is the third and latest single from Smashed to Pieces, the freshly released debut album by Austin, Texas psychedelic rockers, Marry Cherry. Once again, the band is showcasing their noisy and psychedelic-hued garage rock sound, which is brimming with fuzz, melody, and grit.
Sounding quite familiar, the new band has managed to release a pretty well structured full length which features more than a few potential singles, and comes carrying a plethora of the genre's hallmarks, turned into something easy to absorb. Smashed to Pieces, a dense nine-song LP, could have easily originated from the obscure sixties or seventies psychedelia, still, it works pretty great in today's terms.
