On the heels of a great new mini album, New York-based post punks, Bambara, visit the Grapehouse Studio in Copenhagen, Denmark, and deliver a pretty jaw-dropping two-song Tapetown session, showing both the strength of their live act and the high level of quality found in their songwriting.
Mythic Love and Birds are both part of the recent Love on My Mind, and they're both perfectly performed by the band who convey a Southern goth rock feel next to their dark post punk and noise rock energy. The fast-paced Mythic Love finds the band sounding unceasing and moody, while also communicating a traditionalistic songwriting impression. The denser Birds, on the other hand, demonstrates Bambara's more composed side. Both these aspects of Bambara have led to the band becoming one of the most exciting acts in current post punk.
