From Minneapolis, Minnesota, post punk/alternative rock quartet, Cult Sequence, emerge in an impressive manner with Mannequins, the first example off their debut EP, Vesta.
Mannequins is an appealing and unnerving take on post punk, bringing together emotive vocals with gritty, distorted, and all-around forceful instrumentals, all wrapped up in an engulfing, crisp production. Mannequins strikes as a defining offering from the emerging band, with the heavy synthesizers and sharp guitars standing out the most, exhibiting their dark shades and overall presence as a prominent newcomer for the genre.
Vesta was recorded at Signaturetone Recordings in Minneapolis, and it will be out on September 15th, 2022.
