Feather is the second single off the impending debut album Momentary Presence by New York City quintet, GIFT. The new track emphasizes the psychedelic properties of the band's songwriting and production, and comes across with a more kaleidoscopic approach than its predecessor.
“I wrote ‘Feather’ after waking up from a lucid dream,” says GIFT bandleader TJ Freda. “It’s about trying to help someone who can’t be helped, but in the end, you want to accept them for who they are and love them no matter what. It’s one of the most personal songs on the record.”
Feather is paired to a surrealistic video created by Dylan Brannigan, mentioning Alejandro Jodorowsky’s Holy Mountain as a prime influence.
Momentary Presence arrives in its entirety on October 14th, 2022 through Dedstrange.
