Submotile are a shoegaze band from Dublin, Ireland, who come from an ambient background and present a layered and explorative take on the genre. Composed of Daniela Angione and Michael Farren, the band began in 2018, and since then they have released their debut, Ghosts Fade on Skylines, on Midsummer Madness, their self-released sophomore effort, Sonic Day Codas, which was mastered by Simon Scott of Slowdive, and they're now gearing up for their third album, One Final Summit Before The Fall, expected out on October 21st, 2022 from seminal shoegaze label, Shelflife.
Foreshadowing is the first example from the coming full length. Full of reverb, interesting textures and atmospherics, the song draws from shoegaze archetypes and ends up sounding rather vivid and exciting, as Submotile continue to realize the functionalities of their songwriting and overall sound.
