Passport (How Far I Will Be) is the second single and almost the title track from the upcoming self-produced album, A Passport to Remain, by New York dreampop duo Phantom Handshakes. The band have been very prolific with their buoyant kind of dreampop, quickly approaching the release of their second album in little time, with a series of singles and an EP also under their belt.
Matt Sklar and Federica Tassano who make up Phantom Handshakes offer more insight on the new single's concept: "The title is a reference taken from Ocean Vuong's book On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous. In the book it refers to something else, but for us it's a metaphor for being here and now, being in the present moment, regardless of what is going on around us."
