German shoegazers, Scott Evil, have recently released their very strong new EP, Quaranteens, on which they present their very own take on the sound of guitar-driven alternative, lo-fi rock, emo rock and nineties shoegaze.
Gym Nights is one of the EP's standout moments, a melodic track which definitely leans toward the band's more easy going songwriting and general sound. The song, which is lyrically compelling, instrumentally superb, and quite emotively performed, could pass easily for a nineties alt rocker, and like the rest of the EP, it grows on the listener with each play.
